Easy to measure your ring size at home August 1, 2017
You have no time to visit jewelry store, but would like to know what is your exact ring size.
We have some tricks which you can easily apply to measure your personal ring size at your home.
What do you need?
a piece of paper
Step by Step Guide
Take your piece of paper and cut a thin, long strip from one side. It should be thinner than your pinkie nail, but size isn’t a big deal here.
Wrap the paper around your ring finger just below your knuckle. Normally your ring needs to fit over your knuckle if you want to wear it.
Once the paper is snug, using pencil to mark the spot where the two ends of the piece of paper meet. Leave a mark on both ends of the piece of paper.
Flatten out the strip of paper. Measure how many inches there are between the first and second mark by using ruler.
Then, you can match the measurement with the sizes listed on this table:
|Ring Size (US)||Length (Inches)||Length (Millimeter)|
Things to remember:
- At the end of the day, your finger will be slightly more swollen than in the morning, which is why you should better measure your finger at night.
- If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, you should measure both areas and pick a size between those two measurement.
Or if this method is little complicated and you have your own printer, you can print available printable ring size measurement which come with pre-build ring size on strap.
The method is just cutting along dotted line next to the arrow, wrapping your finger, inserting the end of strap into slot that you just cut, and measure your personal ring size.
That’s it, there are really easy to get your ring size without attending any jewelry store.
